Hate Telemarketers?
Get yourself on the National Do-Not-Call List (DNCL)!
"Canadians can add their land line, cell or fax numbers on the national do-not-call list online at www.LNNTE-DNCL.gc.ca or by calling 1-866-580-DNCL (3625). For TTY service only (for the hearing impaired), the toll-free number will be 1-888-DNCL-TTY (1-888-362-5889)."
Do note that the website and hotline are overloaded by the sudden influx of people who obviously hate telemarketers. You can also put your cell phone on the list so no more wasted minutes!
"The CRTC can levy fines of up to $1,500 to individuals who violate the new rules and up to $15,000 to corporations."
So yes, this list will be ENFORCED. I'm glad something like this came. I'm tired of getting calls accusing me of having "debt troubles" or asking me to subscribe to such-and-such newspaper/magazine/phone service/etc.

End of September
Heading into the last week of September, I still feel I'm not doing enough. Not seeing enough of the big picture. Not changing or impacting anything.
Up next: The CIBC Run for the Cure. Readings. Presentations. Exams. Elections. Handshaking. Sickness, treatment, and prevention.

Paramore – That’s What You Get
This is one of the songs featured in Rock Band 2, which I'd like to try out sometime next time I'm home. I'm becoming a fan of Paramore after being exposed to their songs in Rock Band and from being e-mailed their songs from a friend.
Hope you enjoy this song as much as I will this week.
Lyrics are below after the cut:
Song of the Week #8: Paramore – That’s What You Get
"That's What You Get" by Paramore is a song featured in the recently released Rock Band 2. It is part of their 2007 album Riot!. Lyrics are in the journal.
Also, I've changed the music player to not auto-play the first song. You have to press play to start the song.
Chasing
So, what have I been doing?
I am chasing. Chasing love. Chasing dreams. Chasing success. Chasing health. Chasing wealth. Chasing happiness. And chasing friends.
Oh, how selfish I've been asking and expecting for these to turn around. To slow down. To make it easier for me. To show their face to me instead of their backs. Grasping for a helping hand I haven't earned.
It's the flaws in my character I have to identify. Excuse my introvertedness when you next see me for I am consumed in my thoughts. Thoughts on how to run faster. Chasing harder until it's no longer a chase. Until those things are by my side once more. Until I've become a better person. A better friend.

An Overused Song
I think it's time people stopped using Clint Mansell's "Lux Aeterna". You know, the one in Requiem for a Dream. It's starting to lose its "epic" feel when I hear it in like 1 in 2 (Ok, an exaggeration) movie trailers, tv show trailers, and commercials.
If you don't know what I'm talking about, here it is. You will have heard it before given its heavy usage in everything these days. I just saw it used in the 24:Redemption trailer on Fox.com.
Heroes Season 3: Villains Premieres Tomorrow
I'm so excited. "Eat your brains? That's disgusting."
Oasis – The Turning
The beginning of this track is the end of the last track. Kind of what Linkin Park did with "Shadow of the Sun" and "What I've Done", the previous track "Bag it Up" plays seamlessly into "The Turning". This is one of the songs on Oasis' new album, Dig Out Your Soul, which is released in stores October 6th worldwide (October 7th for the US).
Lyrics:
Song of the Week #7
The new song of the week is "The Turning" by Oasis from their newest and seventh studio album, Dig Out Your Soul. Also added 5 more random images to the above header. They're of things that interest me.
