Change

Warning: This is a well done and hilarious pro-Obama ad based on the original Wassup Budweiser commercials eight years ago. If you don't get the footage, you might want to open your eyes to the world.

"Wassup 2008"

Funny, creative, and reeks of awesomeness.  Whassssssuuuuuuuuuuuup ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.  :P

Change.

House 5×06 – “Joy”

Just wanted to say what a big surprise the end of the episode was.  I won't say anything but I saw it coming.  The (sexual) tension was building up between those two characters for quite a while.  Oh, I might have said too much.  :P

Next week will probably be uneventful in terms of TV because the first African-American President of the United States will be elected.  See what I did there?  Go Obama!

In other news, it snowed where I am.  A lot.  My winter jacket is still in Toronto and I'm going back Thursday to get it so I don't freeze and get sick.  I haven't gotten sick for about 4 years now and I'd like to keep this good thing going.

Also, a new law is being proposed where you can get fined $500 if you are caught operating ANY hand-held device while driving.  Seeing how it's been implemented in other provinces and countries, there's a good chance this will pass.  You must pull-over to change a song on the iPod.  GPS must be secured to the dashboard.  I don't know how well this will be enforced but small inconveniences (e.g., seatbelts) have saved lives in the past.

Song of the Week #12: Radiohead – Reckoner

This week's song is the most recent single by Radiohead: "Reckoner" from their 2007-released album, In Rainbows.  I find that this song fits really well with my daily bus rides.  Haha.

TSN vs. CBC (on hockey intros ’08-’09)

So, the videos of the intros were finally recorded and put on Youtube and here they are. I was waiting for the videos so I can finally write this post as a follow-up to my last one about HNIC. As you probably know by now, CBC's version was voted in by fans and TSN is using CBC's old anthem when CBC was unable to reach an agreement with the song's owners.

CBC's version:

TSN's version:

I must say CBC has way better graphics and the music fits well in creating feelings of "epic-ness" from historical moments in hockey. I've noticed the commentary voice-over clips change each week or so.

TSN's version is just meh. Mediocre and boring considering the history of the old song. Just fail. But you be the judge. :P

Ahh!

I can't wait for this long week to be over.  The second week of my two weeks of hell.  So many sleepless nights.  So much knowledge gained.  I'm done everything on Saturday morning, after which, I will do some mad shopping.  Back to a healthier diet, back to attempts at making myself look somewhat presentable, and back to the things I enjoy doing the most.  :P

Something about being in the dead of night - so peaceful, so quiet, so relaxing - with the cool breeze at my back and the refreshing misty air.  In places and at a time a woman dare not venture alone, I see an alternate world where I alone can run free and let go.

Entourage 5×07 (#61) – “Gotta Look Up to Get Down”

Just wanted to say I liked tonight's episode of Entourage cause it showed a lot development in the plot and setting the stage for the story arc to come full swing.  Oh, and of course, hot supermodels.  No, no boob-flashing this time, which is good considering they looked fake and took away from the episode last time.

The episode ended with a song sounding so familiar to me.  It took me forever and would've prevented me from sleeping if it weren't for the wonders of Google.  Yes, I should lower my head in shame for not realizing it was Radiohead's "Fake Plastic Trees" the moment it started playing.

I know, I fail.  :P   But it was a perfect song for that last scene.  It really captured the mood between Ari and Vince.  So sad beneath it all.

Paramore – Decode

How can I decide what’s right
When you’re clouding up my mind?
I can’t win your losing fight
All the time

Not gonna ever own what's mine
When you’re always taking sides?
But you won’t take away my pride
No not this time, not this time

How did we get here?
I used to know you so well
Well how did we get here?
Well, I think I know

The truth is hiding in your eyes
And its hanging on your tongue
Just boiling in my blood
But you think that I can't see

What kind of man that you are
If you’re a man at all
Well I will figure this one out on my own
(I'm screaming, "I love you so.")
On my own
(My thoughts you can't decode)

How did we get here?
I used to know you so well (yeah)
How did we get here?
Well, I think I know

Do you see what we’ve done?
We're gonna make such fools of ourselves
Do you see what we’ve done?
We're gonna make such fools of ourselves

(Yeah yeah)

How did we get here
I used to know you so well (yeah, yeah)
Well, how did we get here
I used to know you so well
I think I know
I think I know

There is something
I see in you
It might kill me
I want it to be true

House, M.D. #5-04: “Birthmarks”

Just wanted to say this episode was awesome.  So much character development and exploration of the House-Wilson friendship and House's parents.  House being his usual annoying self and Wilson being so prepared for his antics.  And the "MMMBop" Hanson ringtone on House's cell phone for the team.  Well played, sir.  Well played.  I should probably sleep now.

Song of the Week #10: Lisa Miskovsky – Still Alive

This week's song is Lisa Miskovsky - Still Alive as featured in the Mirror's Edge OST.  This is NOT the Portal song of the same name.
