This site is mainly a blog about things I encounter in life such as the issues that come up in the world, the technological innovations that arise, and the good things in life. I'll review TV shows, movies, and video games I've experienced and share funny Youtube videos.
There are some things I will not do and I'll write them out as a means of solidifying a site charter of sorts - as of July 20th, 2009:
- There will be NO posts written in an angry fashion ranting and whining about my life's problems, tribulations, and challenges. We all have our issues and it's not fair to readers to put up with mine. Obstacles are a part of life and overcoming them is something one must learn to do alone.
- This does NOT mean I don't give a damn about your problems. I'm really a nice person if you get to know me. Really!
- There will be no specific reference to individuals' personal details. Full names and details of "what happened last night" I will try my best to not mention (unless it was THAT "epic"). In this day and age of Facebook, Twitter, and other forms of social media, and having experienced first-hand certain privacy violations, we must be vigilant on what we make known to the public to not only protect ourselves but to protect others.
- Thus, it follows that the gallery will also have to be limited and I hope that the new upcoming Gallery 3 will allow for this. I have many memories dating as far back as high school and it would be nice to host them in full-quality on a server I control (I mean - who knows what Facebook will do with them? Like say, put my pictures in their ads!?). It is my aim that I'll be able to share them only with people I know.
- This is more of a personal thing: I will no longer blog about my academic achievements and career aspirations. You will have to ask me in-person and friends will know what they need to know should they ask. I'll just say I have big things planned but for me to get to where I want, I have some major obstacles to overcome. Well, don't we all?
- This is just because I value humility. In my eyes, you win bonus points if you have this quality about you.
- I will not blog, tweet, dial, or drive while intoxicated.
...and that is all I can think of for now.
